COVID 19
Covid19 Safety Measures and adjustments
We are now re open, and welcoming our customers as things relax. We are trying to do this in as safe a way as possible and have put in place the following measures.
These measures minimise the risk of infection, but there is no guarantee, and the risk is present wherever you go.
If you have experienced any Covid19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please inform us and do not arrive for your holiday. We can always defer to a later date.
Arrival and return time
Our boat pick up time is now from 2.00pm on your start date, to allow for extra cleaning. Return time is still approximately 9.30 am on your departure date and the meeting point will be Tewitfield services, which is just round the corner the marina. There, you can empty toilet cassettes if necessary, and collect your car.
On your arrival, please keep left once you come through the gates, continue driving past the apartments, and park in the far end car park in the marina. Give us a quick call and we will come and greet you maintaining 2m social distancing.
Boat handover
As we cannot always maintain social distancing during boat handover, we will require you to wear a mask which we can provide or you are welcome to bring your own. This can be a paper or fabric mask. As we have hand sanitizer available, it is not necessary for you to wear gloves but again, you are welcome to wear your own if you wish. Regrettably, because of the amount of different size and types of gloves we would need, we cannot supply them.
Before entering the boat to give instruction on the internal workings, we will ask you to sanitize your hands and wear a face mask.
This will be one person only, from the party, who can then relay instructions to the other members afterwards. June will show you how to operate everything inside while wearing a mask and gloves .
Our skipper Nick will then start sailing tuition with the nominated skipper. There can only be Nick and the nominated skipper on the back of the boat during this time.
Cleaning
Our boats will be cleaned and sanitized throughout after every hire, paying particular attention to all utensils and touch points.
Bed linen, duvets and pillows
Our mattress, and pillows all have removable protective covers, and clean mattress covers are also provided for the make up beds. These, along with the bed linen and towels, are laundered after each hire.
You also have the option of bringing your own duvet, pillows, linen and towels if you prefer. Please let us know if this is the case.
Seating, cushions and curtains
These will be misted with sanitizer and vacuumed thoroughly once dry. If you prefer, you could bring your own throws to cover the seats.
We hope you enjoy your holiday, and please stay aware of the 2m social distancing wherever you visit.
If a member of your party develops any corona-virus symptoms, please inform us immediately and return to the marina as soon as possible, so you can return home. Any unused days left of your holiday will be refunded.
We will then quarantine the boat for 24hrs to make it safe enough for us to go onboard and disinfect.
The following customers will be postponed and refunded for a day, or, in the case of a weekend booking, deferred to a later date, subject to availability.
Lastly, if you have any questions or concerns regarding these measures, please feel free to call us on 07951 298720
