Days out and things to do on the Lancaster Canal
Moor up in Lancaster, take a walk into the city centre and visit the historic Lancaster Castle.
Lancaster Castle's origins date back almost 1,000 years. This Grade 1 Listed Building occupies a city-centre hilltop location on the site of three successive Roman forts and has been described by English Heritage as "not only the North-West's most important historic and archaeological monument but also of international importance"
Moor up at Hest Bank and walk 2 minutes to the Beachfront of Morecambe Bay! If you prefer a longer walk Morecambe has a great indoor market and outdoor market each Sunday, approx 1hrs walk from Hest Bank
The Lancaster Canal is a photographers paradise, from rolling landscapes and abundant wildlife to fantastic sunsets and beautiful skies, there is so much to see and capture. We are novice photographers but would love to see what you create!
